//Move in any of the 8 zones to interact with an audio effect. --Hear how the sound changes while you move through it.

//Begin to explore the other zones and the sonic nuances that exist in it naturally and when processed.

//Stand in the 9th Zone (center of the 8 zones) to lift the gains of all speakers. This will shift the individual sample packs running throughout the 8 speakers to a singular stereo track panned throughout the 8 speakers.

//compiled fields is an interactive audio installation & 6 track ep

created by Jean Howard

Compiled Fields incorporates the use of field recordings, processed and unprocessed, blended with music and various instrumentation collected from the last 6 years with iPhones and handheld recorders. By using warped sounds from a handful of different environments The composition aims to create a new/ surreal ‘field’ from recorded memories and the liberal use of audio effects.

Having 2 creative outcomes (a physical experience and a digital ep) with the final composition being created from inspirations of Music concrete, while the installation is driven by deep listening practices.
